Crime Stoppers is a community based program that brings local citizens, the media and the police together in partnership to solve crime. This is accomplished by offering cash rewards and guaranteeing anonymity to persons who furnish information leading to the arrest of or laying of charges against offenders.

August 30, 2010 The Sarnia Police Service is currently investigating a rash of arsons which have occurred over the past few weeks in the City of Sarnia. Initially, there were three intentionally set fires on Devine Street, then the Eastland Plaza, and most recently, four dumpster fires. Arson is a very serious criminal offence, and is often associated with other deviant and anti – social behaviours. The persons responsible for these acts may think of them as pranks, but there is nothing funny about destroying other people’s property and putting the lives of firefighters and others at risk. Arson is senseless crime that costs us all. If you have any information about this crime, do the right thing, and call Crime Stoppers.
